About Facilities Scheduling and Services
Welcome to the Office of Facilities Scheduling & Services
The Office of Facilities Scheduling & Services provides essential campus functions in the areas of UIS Conference Center management and event management services, classroom management and scheduling, outdoor event management and scheduling, campus setups, surplus and move requests, and public area recycling in the main campus buildings.
- Classroom Management and Scheduling: responsible for academic section classroom scheduling, classroom pool management, inventory and planning, and event reservations in all academic and most indoor and outdoor spaces on campus, inputs and distributes the campus Master Facilities Calendar.
- Conference Services: manages the UIS Conference Center and event management services for internal and external clients – spaces include conference rooms, Brookens Auditorium, the PAC Restaurant, and the related concourses. Provides setup coordination and work orders for events around the campus.
- Campus Setups, Moves, and Surplus: performs event setups primarily in the UIS Conference Center and across campus for diverse activities and events. Performs office moves and temporary moves for remodeling. Coordinates and assists with university property removal – disposals, recycling, transfers to another unit, sending to surplus. - Campus Recycling: responsible for portions of campus recycling including indoor public areas of main campus buildings and metal recycling for campus.
