14th Emiquon Science Symposium
Planning is currently underway for the 14th Annual Science Symposium. This one-day meeting will provide researchers a chance to share the results of their projects related to the Emiquon Restoration, and other prairie, river, and floodplain systems.
When: April 8, 2020 (please note this is earlier than the last several years)
Where: Dickson Mounds Museum
Presentations: Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations are now being accepted (300 word limit). Oral presentations will consist of a 15 minute talk, with 5 minutes for questions. In addition to a dedicated session for posters, there will be a lightning session, in which, each poster presenter will be given a few minutes to summarize their poster for the group. Everyone is encouraged to share their research. The deadline for submitting an abstract is March 27, 2020.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jim Angel, former Illinois State Climatologist
Registration: Registration is now open. While there is no charge for attending the Symposium, accurate estimates help us with planning, so please register if you plan to attend.
