2003 Politics and Ethics in Illinois

The Public Policy Summit on “Politics and Ethics in Illinois: Past, Present and Future” brought together a diverse group of former elected officials and others with state government leadership experience, public policy activists, and scholars to share their expertise in a roundtable discussion and to develop options for change. Former U. S. Appellate Judge Abner J. Mikva delivered the keynote address. Richard Schuldt, director of the Center’s Survey Research Office, presented findings of a survey of the Illinois public on perceptions of state government corruption. The Summit drew an audience of over 350 to campus. The program was webcast live and broadcast later on both the Illinois Channel and Springfield Access 4. The edited proceedings are available on the center’s website by clicking the link on the right.
