Travel Update: March 16, 2020
All university-sponsored international travel for students, faculty and staff is prohibited, along with nonessential domestic travel, until further notice. Additionally, personal international travel is strongly discouraged, especially for those with underlying health conditions. We urge anyone considering personal domestic travel to use caution and exercise good judgment.
Students who have traveled internationally within the past 21 days must notify UIS Health Services before returning to campus or participating in any university activity. Depending on location of travel, the student may be subject to a 14-day self-quarantine protocol at their permanent residence before being cleared to return to campus.
Employees who have traveled internationally within the past 21 days should first contact their supervisor or Human Resources about whether they should work on-site. Depending on location of travel, the employee may asked to self-quarantine for 14 days at home before being cleared to work on-site. Please see the March 13 message to employees regarding COVID-19 related absences.
