Foot in the Door Fair
The Career Development Center at the University of Illinois Springfield is excited to announce the 2021 Foot in the Door (FITD) Fair is being held in two parts.
Part 1 with a Student Employment focus will be on Thursday, August 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (CST) in the Student Union Ballroom. Masks are required!
Part 2 with a Community Organization focus will be on Thursday, September 2nd from 4:00 -6:00pm (CST) via Zoom. The Foot in the Door Fair is intended to bring students and employers/organizations together to discuss a variety of career opportunities such as part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
Check out the List of Participating Employers. We hope you will join us at this event and get your “Foot in the Door” to both on and off-campus opportunities!
To participate in the Foot in the Door Fair (as a Student):
- For Part 1 – Thursday, August 26 from 4:00-6:00pm (Student Union) – simply stop by the Student Union Ballroom anytime between 4:00-6:00pm on Thursday, August 26. Plan to wear a mask, bring your i-card or prepare to show your UIS Connection QR code to check in. Dressing in business casual attire and bringing along copies of your resume is encouraged. - For Part 2 – Thursday, September 2 from 4:00-6:00pm (Zoom)– Plan to join us on Zoom and connect with 40+ community organizations with internship, part-time, or volunteer opportunities. Register on Zoom at: go.uis.edu/FITDpt2

The Foot in the Door Fair is sponsored by the Career Development Center, Internships and Prior Learning Services, Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, Human Resources – Student Employment, Office of Student Life and the Office of International Student Services.
A minimum dress code of business casual is highly recommended.
