Foot in the Door Fair

The Foot in the Door Fair was held on Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Registration for 2019 The Foot in the Door Fair is closed.

The most recent event brought over 60 employers and just over 300 students together.  The Foot in the Door Fair is intended to bring students and employers/organizations together at an informal fair setting to discuss a variety of career opportunities with a focus on part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities.

The Foot in the Door Fair is sponsored by the Career Development Center, Internships and Prior Learning Services Office, Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, Office of Financial Assistance – Student Employment, Office of Student Life and the Office of International Student Services.

Career Connections Expo

The next Expo will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020.

Registration will open later in Fall 2019 – TBA

The 2020 Career Connections Expo will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in the Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on the UIS campus (2171 University Dr. Springfield, IL 62703) from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Prior to the start of the Expo, there will be a special Coffee & Conversation networking event for participating employers and UIS Faculty & Staff from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

The 2020 Career Connections Expo will be hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield and Lincoln Land Community College.

The Career Connections Expo takes place each February on the UIS campus.  It is a great way to connect students, alumni, and community job seekers with employers who are looking for candidates for jobs, internships, and future connections.
