Welcome to the Campus Rec page for all things running.  Here you will find information of our annual 5k, the Campus Rec Couch to 5k training program, links to virtual runs, and more.  Exercise is important to both your physical and mental health so get up and get moving!

Virtual Races

What are virtual races?  A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, anywhere and everywhere. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.  Some races are linked to charities with a portion of the profits going to some great causes.  Check out the links below for more info.

Capital City Striders Virtual Training Program

This is a free training program, hosted by Springfield, Il runner and event manager Bill Stokes, for anyone who wants to use a walk or a walk/jog interval to get in moving and get ready to participate in the spring and summer fun runs.  This program runs April 2 through May 7.
