Future Plans: Work in law enforcement

Nick Zambito came to the University of Illinois Springfield ready to be a leader. As a freshman, he helped start the Habitat for Humanity Club on campus and was recognized for outstanding leadership by the Capital Scholars Honors Program. He currently serves as the external vice president of the Student Government Association and as a mentor for the Leadership for Life Service Program. He went on the 2017 Alternative Spring Break volunteer trip to the Florida Panhandle Gulf Coast and participated in the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Following graduation from UIS, he plans to enter the law enforcement field and join a special taskforce that works to combat human sex trafficking.
