Jennifer Davis ‘21

Hometown: Petersburg, Illinois
Major: Environmental Studies
Future Plans: Earn a master’s degree in environmental science

Jennifer Davis chose the University of Illinois Springfield because of the small class sizes, friendly professors and proximity to home. “I like how the professors are always willing to help you out if you need it,” she said. “They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you succeed.” On campus, she’s a member of the Green Fee Committee and also a member of the Research Society. She recently won first prize for the best undergraduate student research presentation at the EIU-IIN Sustainability Conference and currently holds the title of 2021 Illinois Ms. Agriculture USA and will compete in the national competition in June 2021. Following graduation, she plans to earn her master’s degree in environmental science at UIS and intern as part of the Graduate Public Service Internship (GPSI) Program.

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
