Jauzlyn Hardy ‘19

Hometown: North Chicago, Illinois
Major: Criminology and Criminal Justice
Future Plans: Work with at-risk youth

Jauzlyn Hardy says she loves the “close knit community and how easy it is to form bonds and friendships” at the University of Illinois Springfield. On campus, the criminology and criminal justice major is co-president of the African Student Association, president of Afro Beat Dance Crew and event chair for the National Society of Leadership and Success. She also works at UIS Brookens Library. Hardy says she chose UIS because it was “affordable and enough hours away from home.” Following graduation from UIS, she plans to earn her master’s degree in forensic psychology and find a job working with at-risk youth.

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
