Jasmine Torres-Gonzalez

Jasmine Torres-Gonzalez has brought her culture to the University of Illinois Springfield by taking charge. As a freshman, she founded Ritmo Latino, a Latin dance team. The team has since grown and changed its name to Global Rhythm, incorporating other types of dance. Torres-Gonzalez is now Vice President of Global Rhythm, Vice President of the Organization of Latin American Students, Vice President of the Greek Affairs Board, and a mentor for the Necessary Steps program, which helps first-generation college students.

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
