APAC Announces 2015 Survey Results

The UIS Academic Professional Advisory Committee (APAC) conducted a campus wide survey of AP members between March 10th and March 27th. The purpose of the survey was to gather information to assist in guiding APAC’s agenda for the next Academic year and increase Academic Professional Employee involvement.

UIS Academic Professionals/Civil Service Quality of Life Survey

This survey was undertaken in 2005 at the request of the Campus Planning and Budget Committee (CPBC) to assist in their development of the Goals and Objectives Report. The survey was designed, administered, and compiled by the CPBC’s Academic Subcommittee.

Academic professionals and civil service employees were asked to rate the importance of and satisfaction with the reputation of UIS, administrative leadership and responsiveness, cooperation, respect and staff morale on campus, the UIS work environment, potential for career advancement and development, respect and autonomy in the workplace, workplace recognition, workplace procedures, compensation, workload, and the impact of Banner and selected services.


Summary of Surveys of Academic Professional Staff

During the 1997-98 and 1998-99 academic years, the academic professional advisory committees (APACs) on all three campuses conducted surveys of their constituents to determine the job-related issues of greatest concern to academic professionals. This report provides a brief summary of the key findings across the three campuses and offers some recommendations for follow-up.
