Scholarships
The Accountancy program offers the following scholarships each year through the UIS Institutional Scholarship:
- Joy Kimler CPA Accountancy Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Grade point average: 3.0
Number of enrolled hours: 8
Recipients must be majoring in Accounting, planning for a career in Accounting and also must be intending to sit for the CPA exam.
- Walt Putnick Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $125
Number of enrolled hours: 4
Grade point average: 3.25
Preferred class: undergraduate
Awarded to student with clearly defined career goals and leadership
ability.
- Donald F. Stanhope Alumni Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Number of enrolled hours: 8
Grade point average: 3.30
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate student planning a career in
accounting and attaining professional certification.

External Accountancy Scholarships
- AICPA Minority Scholarship $5,000
- Association of Certified Fraud Examiners $10,000, $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 scholarships.
- National Association of Black Accountants Minority Scholarship ranging from $1,000-$5,000
- National Society of Accountants ranging from $500-$2,000
- Wiley Scholarship Program $500 and/or the Wiley CPAexcel Platinum Course
