The Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy prepares students for work as CPAs, internal auditors, tax advisors/accountants, governmental and managerial accountants, consultants and business advisors, to name a few positions.
The requirements to pass the CPA exam as well as attain other professional certifications are addressed by the program.

UIS Revised Templates Approved by ILBOE for CPA Requirements
The University of Illinois Springfield Accountancy program has submitted new templates to the Illinois Board of Examiners (IBOE) showing how the undergraduate and graduate curricula meet the requirements to sit for the CPA examination. The approved revised templates are effective 2015 and posted in the ILBOE website:
