UIS Earth Week 2017 Keynote Presentation

Kowalczyk LectureEarth Week Presentation Sponsored by the Edmund L. Kowalczyk Fund for Leadership at UIS

On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., Michelle S. Carr, Illinois State Director of The Nature Conservancy, will speak about her team’s efforts to advance critical conservation issues across the state. She will emphasize how leadership strategies work to bridge the perceived gaps between conservation science and economic decision making in Illinois.

The presentation is the keynote presentation of Earth Week 2017 at UIS, coordinated by the Campus Senate Committee on Sustainability, and is part of the UIS Engaged Citizenship Common Experience (ECCE) Speaker Series.

Edmund L. Kowalczyk

Springfield resident Rozanne Robertson has established the Edmund L. Kowalczyk Fund for Leadership at UIS in honor of her late husband. Mr. Kowalczyk worked for Johnson & Johnson for a number of years and was a highly respected and effective businessman and leader who excelled at presenting seminars.  The Kowalczyk Fund will be used for lectures on leadership at UIS, most likely as part of the ECCE Speaker Series during the coming years.
