The Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center initiates, coordinates, and facilitates volunteer opportunities and endeavors for UIS students, staff, faculty, and the Springfield Community. Please give generously.
Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center Fund
To provide support for Alternative Spring Break (whatever the year). In 2016, students will take a service trip to New York City to work with Youth Services Opportunities to work in Soup kitchens and social service agencies.
Leadership For Life Service Wing Fund
To support for the Leadership for Life wing in Lincoln Residence Hall
Student Leadership Civic Engagement Award Fund
To help provide funds for an award to honor a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in volunteer and civic engagement

The Good as Gold ceremony recognizes the spirit and involvement of local volunteers and nonprofit organizations throughout Springfield. Learn details about the event here.
