Make a Difference for Public Health Students

Your gift in any amount to the funds below provide support for public health students. The Public Health Department leads service opportunities to Springfield and other communities, including trips to Africa. Your gifts to the Unrestricted Fund can help support these efforts. Thank you!

The Bill and Frances Cosgrove Water Resource Management Scholarship

William ‘Bill’ Cosgrove, with Frances Cosgrove’s support, spent his career years working on various aspects of water management. The UIS Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon provides a site where many disciplines could contribute to the research of the role of wetlands in water resource management. Bill and Frances hope this scholarship will help make use of the Station. It is open to students focusing their studies on conservation, environmental policy and the natural world in programs such as biology, chemistry, environmental studies, or public health.
