Since 2012, Dr. James Hall, associate professor in the Department of Management Information Systems, has been the Hanson Professional Services Faculty Scholar. This position is made possible by a generous gift from Hanson Professional Services, Inc., headquartered in Springfield.
Dr. Rassule Hadidi Management Information Systems Scholarship
This scholarship is given in honor of Dr. Rassule Hadidi, Ph.D., Professor and Department Head of Management Information Systems Program, for his passion for academic distinction and ability to guide and mentor students to excellence in pursuit of their academic and professional goals.
Dave and Jan Larson Management Information Systems Scholarship Fund
Dr. Dave Larson, a professor in the Management Information Systems Department, has created a current-use scholarship for Management Information Systems undergraduate students. The scholarship honors the memory of his late wife, Jan. Dr. Larson has pledged to renew the scholarship each year for five years.
Dr. Hamed Qahri-Saremi Management Information Systems Scholarship
This Scholarship is given in honor of past Management Information Systems Program faculty member, Dr. Hamed Qahri-Saremi, Ph.D., for his remarkable journey at UIS and exemplary contribution to the department of MIS with his extraordinary teaching abilities.
Eugene and Elaine Wilkinson, both with successful business careers, recognize the importance of business education. A US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict era, Eugene graduated from U of I at Urbana and spent most of his career with Hanson Professional Services, Inc., of Springfield. He retired as CEO in 2000 and is now Chair Emeritus of the Board of Hanson. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Elaine spent 15 years working in marketing and sales in the computer industry in the Silicon Valley. Elaine also taught business to high school students for many years.
To encourage this success for UIS students succeed they have created the Eugene R. and Elaine A. Wilkinson Scholarship Fund for business education.Their new scholarship fund will provide money to two undergraduate students each year, one in the departments of Business Administration and one in Management Information Systems.

As the principle donor of this new scholarship, you would get to name the fund and establish the selection criteria.
