Athletics Points of Pride (2018-19 School Year)

Through April 12

  • 14 All-GLVC Performers
  • 4 All-Region Performers
  • 2 All-Americans
  • 1 First-Team Academic All-American (first in UIS athletics history)
  • Ten of the 17 sports programs at UIS had their best seasons since the move to the NCAA Division II level
  • Volleyball qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in program history, and won its first GLVC Championship
  • Blake Jones won the first individual track and field conference championship in program history
  • In Fall 2018, UIS athletics had a 3.30 GPA; 72.4 percent of student-athletes had a GPA of 3.00 or higher, and 24 had a perfect 4.00 GPA

Stars Athletics Scholarship Society Fund (unrestricted for scholarships)

This fund collects all unrestricted gifts for scholarships, allowing Athletics staff to use the scholarships where most needed to encourage stellar athletic programs and meet student-athletes’ needs.
