Fund that Supports Alternative Spring Break

A spring break trip–but not just for fun.
Each spring, UIS students take part in an Alternative Spring Break, during which they spend their week contributing their service to a cause. In past years, they have gone to the Florida Everglades, New Orleans, Galveston, Texas, and Washington, D.C. to help with hurricane clean up, serving the homeless, cleaning up trash along the Mississippi and more.
Students need your help to participate, however. Each student has to pay $150 or more to go on the trip and is also expected to raise over $100 in additional support. The money you give can help our less-able students pay their expenses for travel, housing, food, and fun (yes, they will have a few opportunities for fun!).
