Approval of Human Subjects Research by the Institutional Review Board

If you wish to do research with human subjects for your master’s project, you must submit a written proposal to UIS’s Institutional Review Board prior to the start of your research.  Your master’s project will not be approved, nor will your degree be issued, unless your proposal is reviewed and approved by the Board before you begin your study.

Further information about the Institutional Review Board, plus a link where you can download the Human Subjects Protocol Form, can be found in the Research and Sponsored Programs page.
