CSPL Executive Director finalist – Molly Lamb
Ms. Molly Lamb is a public policy and operations leader with a breadth of experience, education, and deep understanding of state government, leadership, strategic management, applied research and budget and grant management. She has 15 years of experience making tough decisions, collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders, influencing policymakers and building community relations around public issues. She is data-led, understands dynamic systems, and is committed to communications to drive change.
Currently, Molly is the Deputy Director of the Office of Health Protection at the Illinois Department of Public Health. Prior to this position, she served in several roles at IDPH and began her public sector career at the Logan County Health Department. Molly is adjunct faculty at Lincoln Land Community College.
She is pursuing a Doctor of Public Health in Leadership (Dr.P.H.) at the University of Illinois Chicago (expected 2020). Molly possesses a Master in Public Administration and Master of Public Health from UIS and a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Molly is passionate about examining complex public problems through applied research, understanding leadership implications, innovating and culturing lifelong learning and development.
She resides down the road from UIS in Chatham.
