UIS now offers a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies, which allows students to emphasize Women and Gender Studies in a self-designed degree program. The last 60 hours may be taken entirely online. Students design their own curriculum by working with a degree committee that includes LIS and other faculty and peers. Enrollment is limited, so students need to apply early. To learn more about the program's philosophy of self-directed learning, admissions requirements, and curriculum, please visit the Liberal Studies website.
Women and Gender Studies faculty are happy to serve as members of the students’ degree committees, to sponsor Independent Studies and Tutorials, and to advise students about the best learning resources.
