of the Week
Saving and publishing new web pages that you have created in Contribute:
If you followed the steps in our last newsletter to create a new web page in Contribute, you chose File > New, then Copy of Current Page. In the dialog box that appeared, there was a field where you could enter the title for your webpage.
This title appears at the top of the browser window when anyone accesses your web page online. You will find that when you attempt to publish your new page by clicking the Publish button (only available to Contribute publishers), Contribute will automatically give the page a file name based on the title that the page has been given.
When the small, Publish New Page dialog box opens, remove the long title that Contribute automatically provides for your filename and replace it with a fitting one word description in all lower case letters. (i.e. staff.html, or contact.html)
Contribute will automatically publish the page to the same directory that you copied the page from. Be sure this is the correct location for your new page.
