What is Civic Engagement?
Generally, the term "Civic Engagement" can refer to any practice that addresses the public good. Though there's some dispute over the specifics (what actions "count" as civic engagement), it is a good umbrella term to describe the practice of citizens (both American and global) who work towards the betterment of their community through community building, political engagement, volunteer service, constructive dialogue, advocacy, and many other similar activities.
