Interview

Today I have an interview at Horace Mann here in Springfield for an internship in the communication department. It would be an amazing experience, and I think I could learn so much at this job. Wish me luck!!

Cap Scholars story

My latest story was a lot of fun to write. I chose to write about the first class of Capital Scholars to graduate and highlighted some of the students and their upcoming plans for the future.

It's still hard to believe it's been four years already. I still remember my first day here at UIS and meeting all of the Cap Scholars for the first time. I must say that I am extremely proud to have been a member of such a great group of students.

And I'm back

Well, I am officially a graduate of UIS now. Still kinda hard to believe. The graduation ceremony was very nice, and overall, a really great day.

I know it's been a very long time since I've posted, but I've actually been pretty busy the past 3 weeks. First there was the last week of school, filled with graduation preparation, finishing up finals, and packing up our rooms. After graduation, I spent the next few days moving into an off-campus townhouse. Then on Thursday, I left on a vacation out East. We stayed at a Poconohs resort and visited Philly and NYC. It was a great trip.

Yesterday was my graduation party back at home, and today I'm heading back to Springfield for the summer. Should be fun!

Finals Week

Wow, the first day of May and only one week left here at UIS. It all hasn't sunk in just yet.

Well, we all have finals this week, which always makes for a pretty stressful time. However, I think all of us seniors will definitely make some time to enjoy our last week in college. :-)

Tomorrow night there is a free peanut butter sandwich night at LRH and people can come in and make whatever kind of sandwich they want. Should be fun! Also, on Wednesday night there is a late night breakfast to celebrate finals almost being done. Hopefully it should be a pretty great last week!
