Communication Career Night
Today was my first meeting with Margot Duley, the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It was really great to get a chance to meet with her, and I was able to get some really good ideas for future feature stories. Hopefully we will get even more ideas as the year goes on.
Last night was the Communication Career Night held at Lincoln Residence Hall. At this event students were allowed to listen to six different speakers all working in the field of communication. There was a web designer, two involved in public relations, an editor, and two radio personalities. Overall, this was a really great event as it gave students a chance to hear first hand what different careers are like and what to expect in the various fields. I personally thought that some wonderful advice was given by the speakers and hopefully all of the students appreciated this great opportunity.
