Writing Coordinator | Clinical Instructor of English
Sarah loves her job as the Writing Coordinator for The Learning Hub, which she has held since August of 2012. Previously, she received her Bachelor’s from UIS with an English major and an unofficial minor in Theater in Spring 2010, and then returned to UIS for her graduate studies in English, finishing in May 2012 after completing her thesis project, entitled, “The Face of Disability: Humanizing Effects of Autographics on the Physically and Mentally Impaired.” She worked at The Learning Hub (then CTL) for two years as a peer mentor, and then returned as a graduate TA for two years. Returning as the Writing Coordinator seems a natural, and very exciting leap for her, and she is looking forward to the academic year!
Math Coordinator | Instructor of Mathematics
Nicole earned her B.A. in Mathematics and M.A. in Mathematics from Eastern Illinois University. She then spent two years studying and teaching math at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her primary courses of study were Algebra related. She enjoys helping students learn all levels of mathematics.
Office Support Specialist
Caitlin has worked at the University of Illinois Springfield since October 2013 and joined The Learning Hub in February 2015. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English-Publishing from Illinois State University and is currently working toward a Master’s in Communication here at UIS. When she’s not at The Hub helping students, she enjoys hiking, gardening, drinking coffee (okay, definitely at work!), and freelance editing and web design.
