“Any free time outside of work that I have is spent doing freelance work, spending time with wife, pets, friends and family, playing games like Xbox 360 and soccer, social networking (Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo360, etc.), riding my motorcycle, and projects around the house. Hence I have no free time!” http://people.uis.edu/gbach1/soccer

“As Webmaster at UIS since 2000, I’ve tried
to implement as many new technologies as
possible on the UIS website. In 2002, I was
a new member of the university’s Academic Professional
Advisory Council (APAC). The group was looking
for outreach activities and I thought of the
idea of Technology Day to showcase UIS staff
who were using technology in innovative ways.
It was a great success. APAC and I are proud
the tradition has continued each year and now
includes showcases for students, faculty, online
learning and more. Visit the Office of Web
Services website: http://www.uis.edu/webservices/
and the UIS website: http:www.uis.edu/“

Two of my main duties are that I coordinate the services we provide for events in the Conference Center and other places on campus and I am the AV Systems Integrator for Technologically Enhanced facilities used for teaching and instructional purposes.
