Technology Day is an annual event showcasing innovative ways UIS faculty, staff and students are using technology on the campus of the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Featured are demonstrations, speakers and opportunities to exchange knowledge and expertise related to technology and education.

Technology Day is FREE and there is no need to register.

Technology Day is a FREE event and no registration is required.

Technology Day 2010


The theme for our annual Technology Day is What Are You Learning Now? Teaching with Social Technologies.

This year’s event was held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

Keynote Speaker

Kyle Bowen was the keynote speaker for Technology Day 2010.Kyle Bowen Kyle is the director of informatics at Purdue University, where he is responsible for providing Web design and application development support for the university community.

Kyle recently led development of Hotseat, a new social networking-powered tool that enables students to collaborate via Twitter or Facebook both inside and outside of the classroom.
