About Our Students
Our students come from all walks of life and cover a multitude of age levels and experience. Many have spent multiple hours substitute teaching in classrooms, but some come with little to no experience with school-age children. It is not unusual for a 20 year old traditional student to be writing a lab report in Dr. Childs’ TEP 426 Methods of Elementary Science class with a 50 year old who has just retired from the armed service.
Our students have a reputation as being strong in their content areas because of the structure of the program as a minor paired with an appropriate major.
