Special Approval
WPI's are now called Special Approvals. Special Approvals are processed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week. If your Special Approval is approved, you will be sent an email from TEP to your UIS email account letting you know you may register. If you do not register for the course by 8 AM Central Time on the following Monday, your Special Approval will be cancelled, and your seat in the course will be given away. In order to receive another Special Approval, you must complete the Special Approval online form again.
When completing the Special Approval if you get the following error, "2 System problem. Please try again later." Please try again, you do not need to wait any length of time.

TEP Core Courses - TEP 224, 305, 307, 322, 401 - the prerequisite to these courses is admission to the Teacher Education Program
You must print the Elementary and Secondary Special Approval Forms
423, 424 - the prerequisites to these courses are TEP 201, 222, 227, 305 & 322
425, 426 - the prerequisites to these courses are TEP 423 & TEP 424
314, 419 - the prerequisites to these courses are TEP 201, 223, 227 and two of any of the following courses: TEP 305, 307, or 401
435, 436, 437, 438 - the prerequisites to these courses are TEP 201, 223, 227, and two of any of the following courses: TEP 305, 307, or 401
The following courses no longer require Special Approval - TEP 201, 222, 223, 227
