What is siblings weekend?
Siblings Weekend, or Sibs for short, is a weekend-long event. UIS students and their siblings spend the weekend enjoying laughter, activities, friendship, and the creation of great memories. Brothers and sisters are not the only ones who are welcome at Siblings Weekend. Cousins, family friends, neighbors, and other loved youngsters whom students want to share the weekend with are welcome!
Is there a cost for sibs?
Yes, each sibling/participant is $20.00 if you register before Feb. 14th ($25.00 after) and UIS students are free. The price includes a t-shirt, access to Pizza Party, access to Late Nite, Stars Lounge discount ticket, ticket to UIS basketball games, and ticket to Cartoon Brunch (Sunday).
How can I register?
Pre-registration deadline will be Feb. 14th(to guarantee a t-shirt and access to cartoon breakfast), but participants can register up to the day of.
Where do siblings sleep?
Generally sibs stay in the same room as their college student sibling, usually staying on the couch or floor.
Should parents attend?
The experience is for UIS students and their sibs. Parents are welcome to stay in town at a hotel as a mini-retreat for themselves.
How can I volunteer for siblings weekend?
