Event Preview:

Monday September 30

Homecoming Pep Rally — 9:30pm –TRAC

Join the Student Activities Committee and UIS Athletics in kicking off Homecoming Week. Meet the teams, enjoy live performances from UIS stars, and UIS Students receive a free Homecoming 2013 T-shirt with their Icard *Limited supplies and sizes

Thursday, October 3

Mashed Potato Sculpting — 11am – 1pm — Food Emporium Patio (Rain Location: PAC Concourse)

Alumni Happy Hour — 5-7pm — Location TBA

Friday October 4

Homecoming Parade — 4:15pm — UIS Campus

Come on out to see UIS pride in this year’s Homecoming Parade. For registration and more information see the Homecoming Parade page.

Homecoming BBQ — 4:45pm-7pm — South Quad

Enjoy food, fun and a family atmosphere. UIS Students admitted Free, Others TBA. Admission includes ticket to Women’s and Men’s Soccer games and fireworks after.

UIS Women’s Soccer Game — 5pm — Kiwanis Stadium

UIS Men’s Soccer Game — 7:30pm — Kiwanis Stadium (firework display to follow game)

Saturday October 5th

Homecoming 5K Run/Walk — 9:00am — TRAC

Comedy Juggler Nick Pike — 1:00pm — Brookens Auditorium

Nick, originally from Great Britain, is now based in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In 2010 he was featured on America’s Got Talent, making it through 70,000 people and into the top 48 acts. Nick performed 3 rounds for the celebrity panel Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan. Performing on stage with Nick Cannon, his final routine was broadcast live to over 20 million viewers.

Student/Alumni/Faculty/Staff Basketball Game — 3:00pm — TRAC

Join us in cheering for UIS, both past and present with a friendly game of basketball. A young tradition in the Homecoming schedule, this will be the 6th Student/Alumni/Faculty/Staff Basketball Game. Watch as the Students take on Alumni/Faculty/Staff to see who will take home bragging rights this year. Admission is free. Interested in participating? Contact Grant Johnson, gjohn05s@uis.edu
