Associate Vice Chancellor and Director of Enrollment Management oversees the following units:
Dr. Marya Leatherwood earned the Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Iowa in 1985. After six years on the faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she joined the faculty at the University of Illinois at Springfield in 1991. She is an Associate Professor of Management and the Associate Vice Chancellor and Director of Enrollment Management in the Division of Student Affairs, overseeing the directors of the Admissions, Records & Registration, and Financial Assistance units.
Professor Leatherwood has been recognized over the years for her outstanding teaching. She received the Outstanding MBA Faculty Award while at UIUC and consistently was recognized for her outstanding teaching on the UIUC "Incomplete List". Her research interests include governance practices in the public and private sectors and her research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal , the Journal of Management, and Corporate Governance. Professor Leatherwood has made numerous presentations at academic conferences and has conducted strategic planning workshops for boards of directors and practitioner groups in for-profit, not-for-profit, and government organizations.

Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs oversees the following units:
Steve Chrans came to UIS in 1982, as the Director of Purchases when it was known as Sagamon State University. In 1987, he became the Acting Comptroller, and in 1989, he became the Business Manager. He became the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in 2000.

Assistant Dean of Students oversees the following units:
Mr. Korte came to UIS (then Sangamon State University) in 1981 from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He served as Director of Housing from 1981 until 2002 when he moved to his current position as Assistant Dean of Students.
