The SAFE ZONE program is supported by the Division of Student Affairs through the Diversity Center (SLB 22).
The LGBTQ Resource Office serves as a central resource for increasing community awareness and understanding about sexual orientation and gender identity (SLB 2).
The program is guided by a Steering Committee of students, faculty and staff from a variety of campus departments and areas.
Many UIS faculty, staff, and students are Safe Zone Allies.
