The Sociology/Anthropology department wishes to extend its condolences to the family of the late Dr. Hammed Shahidian, who recently passed away. Dr. Shahidian was an Associate Professor of Sociology who received his doctoral degree from Brandeis University. His research focused on feminism, women in the Third World, social movements, refugee studies, and the relations between the USA and the Middle East.
