Music in Sociology & Anthropology
The SOA program is currently the home of several UIS music initiatives, including the World Percussion Ensemble. The study of music in its social context has long been an emphasis of the Sociology/Anthropology program, which has offered a very popular Jazz in American Culture course for several years.
