UIS Student Activities Committee (SAC)

The Student Activities Committee is a standing committee of the Student Government Association (SGA) of the University of Illinois at Springfield.  SAC is affiliated with the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA).  SAC provides social, recreational, and cultural activities to enhance student life on campus.

The mission of SAC shall be to:

  • Provide programs that are socially and academically beneficial to the UIS student body.
  • Maintain a practical structure to ensure the continued effectiveness of the organization.

Placemat advertising Guidelines

  • SAC events will receive priority on the calendar. Any event conflicting with a SAC event will not be placed on the SAC calendar
  • Additional Events will be taken from the UIS Student Life Calendar
  • The SAC Placemat calendars will only display events, not meetings (Exception: ICCB, SGA, SAC meetings will be displayed)
  • In order to ensure your event is on the UIS Student Life Calendar within enough time for the SAC Placemats calendars a student org should make sure there space reservation is in 4 weeks prior to the event
