Hi, my name is Ryan Melchin and I am running for Internal Vice-President for the UIS Student Government Association. I am currently the Senator to the College of Public Affairs and Administration. Since I have been on SGA I have learned a lot about our campus and the U of I system. With massive budget cuts coming our way, we need to have strong student representation here on campus to help bring our message of prioritizing education to the state of Illinois. As the Senator of Public Affairs and Administration, I have voted against major fee increases that have been proposed. In order for our campus to grow, we need to make UIS the most affordable university in the state that attracts the best and brightest students. I want to continue to stand up for students as the Internal Vice-President. This position has many important responsibilities that I am ready to take on. With your support, we can continue to make UIS a great campus and make it a campus we can all be proud of.
