My name is Evelyn Ivy and I am currently a graduate student running for Senator for graduate students. I am pursuing a Masters in Business and Accounting. The idea to run for student government came when I realized that graduate students did not have a voice on campus. I do have a lot of ideas of how graduate students can get involved with campus life without interrupting their normal routine. These opportunities would also present more items that could be added in a graduate’s resumes.
If elected to this position, my top priority will always be the needs of the graduate students. I will be open to suggestions and fight hard to make sure the appropriate channels receive the suggestions made. As graduate senator, I will take special care to ensure graduates needs are being met.
