When I was deciding which college I wanted to transfer to after my freshman year, UIS was at the top of my list. I have taken an interest in the school from frequently visiting friends and after learning about what it had to offer, I quickly applied and was accepted soon after. You see, the main reason why I came here was for the outstanding political programs. I aspire to be a great politician one day either representing my state or serving on a national level. I know there are others like me attending UIS for similar reasons of using the college as a foundation for our future and helping us to be what we desire most.
Naturally, I want to be a part of the Student Government here on campus, so I have chosen to run for the Senator of Transfer Students. Now I’ve only been in Springfield for a short time, but I feel qualified to represent my fellow students with the notions of respect and integrity in mind. Those notions are the main reason why I am running. I plan to work hard at my position while standing firm in what I believe in, all the while doing whatever it takes to get the job done. If you are looking for a guy to represent UIS with passion and desire, please consider me as your Senator for transfer students.
