Standing Committees Information

There are numerous standing commitees of the SGA. Each committee has a specific duty as outlined by the SGA constitution and bylaws. These committees are open for UIS students to serve on while positions are available. If you are interested in serving on one please contact uissga@uis.edu.

Elections Committee

• The Elections Committee shall consist of 5 members and a                                 chairperson.  The chairperson shall be the Director of Student Life, or                 his/her designee.  The additional members shall consist of 3 students and 2 staff members. The chair shall only vote in case of a tie.

  Please Note: The Elections Committee will convene only if a written complaint is submitted, or if required to provide clarifications of election policies – otherwise no meetings will be scheduled.
