Since joining forces in the late 1970s, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason have become one of the most celebrated duos on the American acoustic music scene. Their performance of Jay's haunting composition Ashokan Farewell in Ken Burns’ The Civil War earned the couple international acclaim, including an Emmy nomination for the song and a Grammy award for the soundtrack. Teamed with the 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Band, the University of Illinois at Springfield and Sangamon Auditorium say, Happy Early Birthday A. Lincoln!
