When Sangamon Auditorium opened its doors on February 21, 1981, it chose Hal Holbrook’s portrayal of the eminent literary mind, Mark Twain, in the one man show, Mark Twain Tonight! as its inaugural performance. Since then, Holbrook’s talent, ever-evolving show, and the witty genius of Twain’s commentary has nearly sold out five previous performances at Sangamon Auditorium and returns yet again by popular demand.
