Educational Programs
Class Acts – The goal of Class Acts, Sangamon Auditorium's daytime performing arts series for youth, is to present artistic, educational, and high quality performances for young audiences. Attending these performances supports teachers' efforts to meet the Illinois State Standards in Fine Arts and the Common Core standars for literacy, equipping students with important 21st century skills.
The 2012-2013 Class Acts season was sponsored by PNC.

ClassPass – Through the ClassPass discount ticket program, groups of students in grades K-12 can attend performances of Sangamon Auditorium’s evening and weekend event at a significantly reduced cost.

Partners in Education – In an effort to provide professional development workshops for area teachers, Sangamon Auditorium and Springfield Public Schools have become a partnership team in the Partners in Education program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Arts Start – Through the Arts Start program, supported through a grant from the PNC Foundation's Grow Up Great initiative, preschool students in the Springfield Urban League's Head Start program are introduced to the performing arts.
