ClassPass Performances

The ClassPass program, made possible in part by the Helen Hamilton Performing Arts Endowment for Youth Fund, enables K-12 school groups to purchase tickets to many Sangamon Auditorium weekend/evening events at significantly reduced cost. A K-12 teacher, school administrator, school group sponsor, or faculty advisor must purchase ClassPass tickets through an auditorium school account. There must be at least one teacher, school administrator, school group sponsor, or faculty advisor in attendance at the event.

Call the Sangamon Auditorium Ticket Office at 217.206.6160 or 800.207.6960 to reserve your seats.Ticket price per person is $8. A teacher, administrator, school group sponsor, or faculty advisor must reserve ClassPass tickets through a K-12 school account.There must be at least one teacher, administrator, school group sponsor, or faculty advisor in attendance at the event.

Release Dates:You may reserve an estimated number of ClassPass tickets until the “final ticket count” deadline (three weeks prior to the event) with no deposit required.The best seats available upon receipt of your order will be reserved for your group.When you have the final group ticket count, contact the Ticket Office with your final numbers.You purchase only the number of ClassPass tickets you need.Payment must be received two weeks prior to the performance.If your order is not confirmed by the deadline, your seats will be released.

ClassPass tickets are available in Zones 2 & 3 only.

No additional discounts apply to the ClassPass ticket price.The ClassPass discount may not be applied to previous purchases.A $3 processing fee applies to each ClassPass order.A $1 stage operating surcharge will be assessed for each ticket.

Auditorium staff recommends appropriate grade levels for Class Acts and ClassPass events based on content of performance, manner of presentation, and the recommendations of the Class Acts Advisory Committee and the performers themselves.Teachers at other grade levels may consider bringing their students to a performance if they find the material suitable.

ClassPass Attendance Information

Ushers and managers make special effort to see that students with mobility, visual, and hearing impairments are seated in appropriate locations. Please let the Ticket Office know about such impairments when tickets are ordered.

Every class will receive teaching materials for each performance. Study guides include background information on the company, the content and background of the performance, pre- and post-performance activities, and local resources and bibliographies.

Also included in your packet will be details about audience manners, parking locations, and directions to our site. PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY to make your visit to Sangamon Auditorium an enjoyable one.

Services for Students with Disabilities

Please let us know about students with special seating needs for hearing, visual, or mobility impairments when you place your order. This will enable us to serve you correctly.

• Personal Amplified Listeners (PAL) for the persons with hearing impairments are available on request.
  
  
• Signers: The Auditorium needs a minimum of three weeks notice to provide signers for persons with hearing impairments.
  
  
• Accommodation for students with visual impairments is available for some performances with advance notice.
  
  
• Persons with mobility impairments will be seated with their escort in the appropriate section of the Auditorium. This may separate them from their class.
