A student’s class schedule is non-directory information. You may not release it. Law enforcement authorities must provide a court order or subpoena to obtain private educational records. Furthermore, the University must make a reasonable attempt to notify the student before releasing the information to authorities, unless the court order specifically forbids notification of the student. Refer authorities to Campus Legal Counsel for information and assistance.
If authorities ask for directory information, you may provide it if the student has not suppressed the information.
