FACULTY FOCUS

Shahram Heshmat specializes in Health Economics of Addiction and Eating Behavior. He applies the field of behavioral economics (a blend of psychology and economics) to public health issues to make economic education relevant and interdisciplinary for non-majors in order to reach a broader audience. Currently, he is working on a textbook project to integrate economics and eating behavior.
Dr. Josiah Alamu is collaborating with the University of The Gambia, and Ken Runkle is researching environmental health conditions in Liberia.
