INSTRUCTOR IN PSYCHOLOGY
The Psychology Department at the University of Illinois Springfield invites applications for an instructor position beginning August 16, 2017. This is a full-time, on-campus position. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a M.A./M.S. in psychology or closely related field awarded from a regionally accredited university prior to the start date, and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Experience pursuing innovative and engaging teaching strategies is desirable. Teaching responsibilities would include undergraduate courses such as introductory psychology, research methods, senior seminar, and courses in the candidate’s specialty area. Opportunities to mentor undergraduate research may also be available. While this position will primarily involve teaching on-ground classes, responsibilities may also include teaching online and evening classes. Normal teaching load is four courses per semester.
